The Universe is Hairy

Round two of ‘Hair’ last night.  This time I was in the second row.  I like to think that the universe gives you what you need, and what I’ve needed lately is a little inspiration.

I’m excited to slowly be finding my roots in the theatre world again, with my weekly improv classes, voice lessons, and my movie about to premier in June.  It sort of feels like coming home.  2009 was a rough year for me, and I definitely lost sight of my goals in all aspects of my life: acting, writing, body.  Finding my way back to those things makes me feel more grounded, and more like me. I even have an audition next week.  Baby steps to getting back to normal.

Thanks to all of you for telling me I’m not a quitter.  I’ve decided to just stick to the strength training schedule, and do cardio I actually enjoy.  I am definitely of the belief that you need to enjoy your workout of choice, or you’re never going to stick with it.  I enjoy Tony Horton three times a week.  More than that we’re talking committed relationship, and I’m going easy on the men for a while.

Here’s the food rundown from yesterday:

Breakfast

Egg white omelet with cheddar and spinach
Whole grain toast
1/2 cup grape juice

Lunch

Salad with mixed baby lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower, red & green bell pepper, kalamata olives, grilled chicken, diced fennel, and lemon vinaigrette

Whole wheat mini pitas with hummus

Snack

Orange

Dinner

Miso soup

Sushi platter with brown rice
(I probably had less than half of this, the fish tasted off to me)

  1. Gah! The reason I’m so loyal to my sushi places is due to my fear of off fish! If that place has low quality fish I want the heads up for the next time we’re out there.

  2. I saw Hair and had the same reaction. I bought tickets for another show! It’s suuuch a great musical. And being in the front rows makes it THAT much better!!
