Yoga Week/Vacation Countdown
I’m on a mission…
Err. Scratch that. I’m on two missions!
One, I’m taking a yoga class and then interviewing a celebrity yogi this weekend. As I usually prefer to yogacize in the comfort of my own home to avoid the laughs and snickers I secretly fear are directed at my super-duper-tight hamstrings, I’m a bit nervous about publicly displaying my warrior pose. Yes, I fully comprehend that this paranoia is in my my head, but needless to say yoga makes me feel self conscious.
So, this week I am dedicating a portion of my day to yoga, every day. All of this in an effort to warm up for this weekend. Hamstrings be damned I will downward dog with authority!
That’s mission one.
Mission two is to get ready for my super-duper-top-secret-Valentine’s Day-vacation!
I have some coming clean to do. After I broke up with Chicagoman, I sort of decided that I wouldn’t talk about my dating life on my blog again. So, I stopped. But, that didn’t mean I stopped dating. In fact, I started dating someone a few months after my Chicagoman break-up. I briefly broke up with this guy, mainly because he flew me to LA this summer (where I got to meet reader Rene and her boyfriend Curtis) and it FREAKED ME OUT (the being flown to LA, not the meeting Rene & Curtis-they were lovely). I’m not good with grandiouse displays of intense interest.
After talking about stuff, and agreeing to slow things down to a glacial pace (which is what I’m comfortable with), we started dating again. So, yeah, I’ve been dating someone. This someone is very romantic and very thoughtful, and really seems to have a proclivity toward buying me plane tickets.
I have been informed that I’M GOING ON VACATION. Although, I’m not allowed to know where. All I know is that it’s warm and I don’t need a passport and it’s all going down February 12-15. This limits my guesses, which is good because I like guessing…and subsequently being right. I was planning on going on a vacation in 2010, it was in fact one of my new year’s resolutions, but I didn’t think it was going to go down so soon!
I’ve got less than a month to feel okey-dokey in my bathing suit. Err, this could be a challenge, especially since one of my other New Year’s resolutions was to not count calories. I can do it. And, I can do it without being a crazy diet fanatic.
That’s mission two.

Hooray for surprise romantic get away vacation! That is awesome! I really love yoga because I love to stretch and am naturally pretty flexible. I can see how if you are not naturally flexible though, it might seem intimidating around other people. I am actually intimidated by group classes all together lately. I didn’t used to be, but now I am. However, I’m sure you’ll do wonderfully in your yoga class and if you think people are staring at you then you should assume they are starting out of jealousy for your naturally gorgeous skin and hair.

Ha, I think bringing my laptop to the romantic getaway might be counter productive to fun in the sun, but I promise to take loads of pictures and reveal the location as soon as I get back
