Man, when summer ends, it seriously ends. No sooner did the Labor Day holiday come to a close when we were hit with chilly weather and constant rain.

Bummer.

I’m going to try and remind myself that there’s more to life than outdoor dining, iced coffee, picnics, and summer dresses. In fact, I really like fall. It’s no summer, but it has its charm.

For starters, I love fall clothes. I can’t wait to break out my sweaters, boots, and scarves.

How awesome is the weather that immediately precedes cold, the kind of weather that means curling up a well-worn sweatshirt, or the classic open windows and down blanket combo?

If I survive this weekend’s 5K I may even be thankful for the cooler air, so I can start running again without fear of heat stroke.

And cider.

And cocoa.

And not having to shave my legs every day.

Yeah, fall isn’t so bad.
