The whole taking some guilt-free time off seemed to have done the trick; I woke up this morning and plowed through four articles I needed to finish. I’m still procrastinating on the book proposal front, but I think by tomorrow I’ll be back in working order. Once my assignments were officially old news I hit the gym for some elliptical and strength training. I was planning on rounding off the night with a pole-dancing class (apparently my mother, who is a big fan of such an exercise undertaking, was discussing the class with my dad. Doh, things you don’t want your father to ever think about: you dancing on a pole. Luckily, mom says he thinks it’s a great idea). Unfortunately, I got sucked into a ‘Biggest Loser’ marathon and realized I had missed the beginning of the class. Looks like I’ll have to wait until next week to make my parents proud.
Instead of stripperobics I ended the day with a little yoga. After days of running and cycling my hamstrings really needed a little TLC.
Now tomorrow, that might be another story. It’s supposed to be 100 degrees in New York tomorrow. I’m not making any promises about motivating myself to do much more than finding decent soft-serve. A girl has her limits. In the meantime I’m researching fall races to train for. Nothing is more motivating to me than a deadline, now I just have to find one. Do you have any races coming up? Watching ‘The Biggest Loser’ always makes me so hungry. Lucky for my colon I have my weights worth in organic corn kernals and an air-popper to keep me in digestive practices until 2025.
