Some days are just totally run of the mill…

You wake up in the morning and have a typical breakfast.

Nonfat Greek yogurt with banana and trail mix

Followed by a pretty standard issue lunch.

Soup of the week: No Cream of Cauliflower Soup

Left over roasted Kabocha

A little later when your vegetable based lunch leaves you ravenous; you head back for course two:

Whole wheat wrap with hummus, cucumber, tomato, carrot

Right before you hit up German class, you grab a quick snack.

Mmm, white chocolate macadamia nut might be a close second in Luna Bar flavors.
My favorite is still Lemon Zest.

After a great night of conjugating German verbs, and learning to count to eine million, you and a friend decide to hit up the restaurant your aunt works at for a glass of wine:

Which turned into…

a beet salad with eggplant and plum chutney

and…

an heirloom tomato salad with ricotta salata

and…

fresh French bread

and…

smoked goat cheese with cherries

and…

another glass of wine

and…

Potatoes au gratin, with…

lamb meatball

and…

ravioli stuffed with butternut squash and goat cheese, topped with anchovies and parmasan

and…

venison with date puree

and…

more wine, courtesy of:

Manny

and…

white chocolate cherry mousse

and…

peach tart

and…

then I exploded.

Seriously, the staff at The Garden at  The Four Seasons Hotel  is way too good to me, and have seriously provided me with some of the best meals of my life.  I cannot recommend enough that any of you that are thinking of visiting New York, or already live here, stop by and let them show you some real New York hospitality.

What an amazing, and totally unexpected night.
