Have you all heard of Groupon?

I’m in love with it, it’s becoming quite an addiction for me.  One of my recent Groupon purchases was a 2-hour session with a professional organizer.  I, by nature, border on anal, but my closet is a disaster so I figured this would be the perfect way to get my closet in pristine condition.  I’m all about new beginnings.  Yesterday, my professional organizer came to scope out the closet, take measurements, and talk supplies.  She’s coming back March 5th to get down to business.  I’m kind of psyched-I’ll take before and after pictures and post them here in a couple of weeks.  I don’t know why things like this make me so giddy.

Post professional organizer visit, Pink of Perfection came over with a bottle of bubbly to celebrate my new found freedom of spirit and social life.  Since I hadn’t eaten since lunch it went straight to my head (I thought I learned this lesson on my birthday), but it was kind of fun to be tipsy at 6pm, then we were off to the Lower East Side, where we were greeted with an open vodka bar.  I was a bit nervous about mixing vodka and wine, so I just stuck with wine, and ordered a vodka drink to hold until someone needed a new drink.

It was fun, I think Sarah’s plan all along was to remind me that I’m fun, and that I will one day have sex again. I always have this irrational fear post breakups that I’ll become a crazy old spinster and never have sex ever again. Which is actually very silly, because  at the end of the day I’m kinda cute and a great catch.  It was nice to go out, and flirt, and drink too much, and feel hot.  Reminded me that I’m young.

I’m really glad my dad doesn’t read my blog.

Tonight is another night out.  I’m going out with friends to Bubby’s Pie Company for dinner, I’ve never been there, but I love the name.  Afterward we’re all heading out to a club that’s having an 80s cover band, and dancing to the sounds of A Flock of Seagulls and pre-crack Whitney Houston.  I think there may even be a synthesizer involved!

Pineapple & hard boiled egg

Turkey chili with reduced fat sour cream and chopped jalepeno

We started with champagne…

then moved to wine…

and more wine.  I didn’t finish this glass. I didn’t want to be that girl.

Finally some food. Late night we hit up my favorite bar in the Lower East Side for some pickles…

Sarah and I shared a plate of sliders and fries.  As unhealthy as it is, it’s perfect drunk food.
