Oh my, oh my, my, my, my, my…I drank too much last night. Actually, I didn’t drink too much, just too much for me. I had three drinks! Usually that’s a pretty solid level for me when it comes to being tipsy but not out of control. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry when I went off to meet my friends after work and didn’t eat dinner, and the drinks that came my way were of a mixed variety and in the end that was a bad combination.
I woke up this next morning hoping everyone else was as drunk I was, so there’s a chance they don’t remember what I think I said but shouldn’t have.
There are more birthday festivities to come, my birthday is not something I take lightly, but my official “Birthday Party” is happening in January. I wanted to wait till after the holidays to get my official party hat on.
Here are some highlights of the birthdayness:
While I was still in control of my motor functions
I came home to a lovely bouquet of flowers from a pretty great guy I know.
I’ve been oggling these stripper adorned glasses at Fishes Eddy for years now, a friend finally put me out of my stalkery misery!
Yay for a make-up goody bag!
The gift I’ve been waiting for. I asked my parents for a copy of Mastering the Art of French Cooking. After reading My Life in France, I just couldn’t get enough Julia Child.
Now for the last two days of food:
Birthday Girl Breakfast
Coffee w/soy milk
Whole grain toast with cottage cheese and tomato
Birthday Girl Lunch
In retrospect I should have had a more substantial lunch:
Salad w/lettuce, tomato, cucumber, onion, kalamata olives and feta w/lite Caesar dressing
Baby carrots and hummus
Skinny Water-I’ll be reviewing these later, but want to taste all the flavors first
Birthday Girl Dinner
Too many of these!
Christmas Eve/Hangover Breakfast
Hot & Sour Soup
Chicken & Broccoli with Brown Rice
Yeah, hangover food is awesome. Now bring on the Christmas presents!
If you celebrate, Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings you everything you want and that you have a lovely day with your loved ones!
