It seems like almond butter is the new black, all the food bloggers are eating it.  So, not wanting to be left in the dust, I invested in the nut butter du jour.  This stuff is ‘spensive!  $10.99 for the store brand…in the suburbs!  I was pretty sure when I opened it up it was going to be made of digestive gold.

I have to say it was a bit surprising.  It’s not buttery and thick like peanut butter, it’s kind of thin and sauce-like.  The texture really threw me.

So how does it taste?  Umm, it tastes like almonds.  Sauce-like almonds. It’s good, but I wouldn’t say my life has been altered by the addition of it. I will of course be eating every last drop, but I’m not sure if this will be a regular investment.  Maybe it will grow on me.
