Maybe you’ve gotten the gist of this if you’ve read my blog for awhile, but I’m a big fan of my parents.  In fact, if you were to know me in real life, you might think it’s a bit odd how much space in my brain my parents take up.  I just really, really like them, they’re good people.

Those two crazy kids have been married for 26 years.  Last year, for their silver wedding anniversary I bought them a cruise.  I mean, twenty-five years is quite a long time to be with one person. So, as a  congrats for “not killing each other and thanks for bringing me into the world so I can blog about everything I eat” present, I sent them off to discover the world.

Not being a complete dictator I let them choose the cruise, which of course meant a year and a half later, they finally took it.  When my mom arrived home yesterday she sent me an email with all the food from her last meal on the cruise and told me she expected me to write a post about “what not to eat.”  As I am not Stacy or Clinton, I do not see it as my place to makeover peoples lives and tell them how they should not do something, but since my mom wants me to, I’m going to show you what she ate.

Well there you have it, my mom says don’t eat like her.  But, personally, I hope she enjoyed every bite.

As this is not called the Kim’s Mom’s Challenge, I’m going to get right on to my food intake for the day.

Last night before I went to bed I went to take a bite of sorbet (I know I didn’t take a picture, but I didn’t really eat it), and noticed that my sorbet was a bit soupy.  In fact, I noticed that none of my food was cold.  Apparently my refrigerator broke at some point yesterday.  I thought it might just be tired, so I went to bed, but this morning the same thing.  So, I called my landlord and told him.  He ordered me a new fridge (seriously, I have the best landlord ever!) and it will be here on Thursday.  Unfortunately, I’m a bit concerned about the state of the food in my fridge as it stands now, which meant ordering in for two of my three meals.
