I have decided to be very, very wealthy…or at least marry rich one day. The resort was unbelievable! I would, by any other means other than my aunt, would never, ever be able to stay at the Four Seasons, but let me tell you, it’s amazing! I even worked out while on vacation-because there fitness center was perfect! Then I hit the pool and had breakfast pool side and read, while my mother got a foot massage. I never wanted to leave. I gambled a bit, ate a lot, slept very little and called my dad 9000 times to make sure he was okay without my mom. It was precisely what the doctor ordered. The trip was a birthday gift to my mom, but honestly it couldn’t have been any more timely for me-I so needed to run away for a little while. I really do feel rested and ready to be a functional adult again!
Here are the pictures:
My aunt (left) and my mom (right) waiting for me to come back with frozen blendeds from The Coffee Bean (my one must stop at place in Vegas and the thing I miss most from my time living in LA)
My aunt trying to steal a bottle of wine from Wolfgang Puck.
My mom on Evel Knievel’s motorcycle
The ceiling at the Bellagio
oh, right, the food…
Coffee and a granola bar at the airport
Blue Chips and a Bagel Sandwich (chicken with red pepper and sweet potato puree)
Mid day snack at the Luxor: Meatball Sliders (I ate two)
Plate one at Buffet (Madalay Bay): Crab leggs, veal chop, steak, lobster ravioli
Plate Two: Scallops, paella, salad
Dessert: I didn’t eat all of these, I basically took a bite of each. Fruit tart, cheese cake, Tiramisu, chocolate/raspberry tart, lemon meringue, coconut cream pie, chocolate cake, carrot cake
Then I exploded.
In the morning I got up early and went running, then did some strength training. Afterward I ate breakfast by the pool-ordered an egg white/vegetable fritata with multi grain bread (ate about half). Didn’t have my camera.
Instead of lunch, I shared a blended with my mom
Plate one: shrimp (and lots of them, apparently) and a nicoisse salad
Plate Two: I couldn’t really do this plate justice, just picked…I think I was still full from the day before.
Lamb, mashed potatoes, ravioli, asparagus
We headed home early in the morning
Banana at the airport
Water and a Peanut butter cookie Larabar
Once I was home it was time for a real meal: Vegetable soup and whole grain bread.
After that I went to bed and slept for 14 hours!
I can’t believe I ate all that, but hey at least I’m honest….
