Yay for sneakers.  You know you’re an exercise freak when the idea of brand new sneakers is just about the most exciting clothing item you can think of.  Okay that’s not true, but I’m currently budgeting and can’t shop with abandon the way I’d love to for cute tops and sexy jeans, but sneakers are a necessity, so I can whip out the Amex for a good pair of kicks. 

Once I have new sneakers in hand I plan on doing an exercise DVD, which I’ll review (probably not today as it’s harder for me to blog not-from-home, but definitely for next week).

Paige: the soup is amazingly simple, I make it in a slow cooker but you can make it stove top if need be.

Vegetable Soup

2 lb. bag of frozen mixed vegetables
1 can kidney beans (strained and rinsed)
4 cups of Vegetable Broth
29 oz. can of diced tomatoes
Seasonings to taste (I used dried basil and thyme, salt and pepper)

Cook on low for 6 hours, or if on stove top bring to a boil then turn down heat and let simmer for 30-40 minutes.
