Hmmm, my interview yesterday seemed like a one night stand, wham, bam, thank you ma’am.  I got the impression that they already found someone they liked before meeting with me and was just going through the motions with the rest of their interviews.  It happens, I just wish they had cancelled instead of wasting my time.   Afterward I met up with my girls to see Tristen and Isolde at the Metropolitan Opera.  It was a great, and totally different type of girls night out.  The opera was five hours long, which is rough, truly rough on ones behind.  It’s going to take a lot of squats to get my booty to un mold from the shape of my seat.

Today I’ll be hitting up the production office that handles Pretty Imperfect to pick up some stuff, as they’re closing their office down.  I’m not the only one who the economy has hit pretty hard lately.  It does sort of feel like an end of an era.  I guess since it’s already made the news and gone public I can tell you all that Conde Nast has cut their blog network from their 2009 budget, meaning come January 1, Elastic Waist will be no more.  I can’t express how truly sad I am by this, as are all of us involved.  We’re all truly proud of Elastic Waist and what it means to so many.  Jen, Weetabix and I are all working on our own blogs to get them up and ready for the transition but it will definitely be hard to say goodbye for all of us.  I’ll be transitioning my more weight, exercise and life focused posts to this blog, and like I’ve mentioned, have started a new blog with a great network of foodies to discuss food 24/7 at Forkful of News.

Sometimes it seems that when it rains it pours.

I’ll try to make it to the gym this afternoon, most likely after lunch and before the post work rush.  A good run may be just the stress reliever I need.

Last night I ate my weights worth in mediocre food.
