Ahh, yes I have been gone and not blogging, but I am back now.  Things have been pretty busy between traveling back and forth and interviewing and catching up on writing.  I think I may have things under control though.

I must say that my trip to Chi-town was a bit bizarre, the whole thing just felt like a haze.  Do you ever have those moments where you’re just so caught up in your head that you don’t really know what’s going on around you-that’s sort of what it was like.  I want a do-over.   Mara, you are right it was totally freezing!  I was even wearing my thermal lined boots and my toes were frozen solid.  My Chicago companion and I ventured to the Christmas Market where I had my very first experience with Currywurst and hot spiced wine.  We also went to a coffee shop that had nutella rimmed espresso-I think I died and went to heaven.  He also made me a truly yummy dinner one night, and we ventured to a vegetarian hot spot that my aunt the fancy-pants chef recommended.  It was a truly mixed culinary bag.  I’ll post photos below.  Meanwhile I haven’t exercised in about a week and have been eating non-stop for a few days, so now I need to get back to normal Kim like eating.  I will not be going anywhere near a scale until after New Years.

I have some work to catch up on, and doubt I’m going to get to the gym tonight, but I do think that first thing tomorrow morning I’m hitting up a spin class-time to get that booty back in gear.
