This weekend was great-sitting on my couch watching movies and talking with my best friend was exactly what I needed to decompress after a long and painful work week. Since we stayed in most of the weekend-and ate all home cooked goodies, I felt like it was necessary to do a weekend wrap up and take some pictures of what I ate.
Friday night I made us a roast chicken for dinner with a side of steamed squash and couscous with cranberries and almonds. Saturday morning I made a beer batter bread with whole wheat flour, baking powder, sugar, Budweiser, and a pinch of salt. Which we ate with Strawberry and Mango preserves, and had a sugar-free vanilla latte to wash it down with. For lunch we had the last of that vegetable soup I was eating all week. We stopped at my favorite Lower East Side Bakery: Sugar Sweet Sunshine-for the best banana pudding on earth. For dinner we went home and made a homemade pizza with a salad for some sort of vegetables.
