I’ve come to the very sad conclusion that I am most productive in the morning. I don’t like to get up at the ass-crack of dawn, but if I want to get stuff done it seems to be my best time to do so. I’m basically useless for all things except couch sitting, bar sitting, chit chat and tv-watching at night. I think it’s time that I just come to terms with these facts.

This morning I got up at 4:30am; got to the gym by 5am and was home and showering at 6:30. Then I ate, cleaned my room, blow dried my hair and took a 30 minute power nap all before leaving for work at 8:30am. It’s sickeningly productive for such an early hour.

Tonight I’m shooting after work, then I need to cook some black bean burgers for my Destitution Diet Column for tomorrow, and I want to get in at least part of an exercise video I’ve been avoiding for weeks-but I seriously need to review it. I’m slacking.

Here’s the food breakdown:

Breakfast

Oatmeal with lite sour cream
Raspberries
Grape Juice

Lunch

Low fat vanilla yogurt
Lite granola
Banana, Apple, Grapefruit
Celery (I’m not going to lie; there will be some peanut butter thrown in for good measure)

Dinner

Homemade black bean burger on spelt English muffin
Baked sweet potato fries
Steamed broccoli
