I DID IT!!!!
Miami was beautiful, the weather was amazing, it was great seeing my friends, and the climb was a success.  I couldn’t have asked for a better Stair Climbing Experience.  I completed the 55-flight, 1,210 step climb in 17-minutes!  I video taped my experience so if you’re interested in watching, check out The Daily Special today on www.elasticwaist.com!  Honestly, it was a bit anticlimactic, I fully expected to be doubled over in pain, dying in a stairwell, sore for days.  I was fine.  It was hard, but after a couple of minutes I was completely recovered, and I wasn’t sore at all the next day.  I had scheduled a day of pampering at a spa for Monday when I returned to sooth my battered body, but I cancelled it because I felt awesome afterward!  Having said that I’ve decided to train for the Chicago Half-Marathon on September 14th, I’ll definitely need a massage after that. 

I couldn’t take pictures of everything I ate, but I did try to photograph a fair amount of it.  Here’s the daily recap of my food intake.

Exercise: I worked out on Friday at the hotel gym, running and doing weights, had the stair climb on Saturday and went running on Monday when I returned.  I’m pretty impressed that I kept on track in regard to exercise.
