Starting the day off write makes all the difference!  I woke up hit the gym for some cardio and weight training then when grocery shopping.  I feel so much more in control now that I have options for a healthier lifestyle.  I also weighed in, I’m up a pound at 149, that’s fine, it was a lot of eating out and no working out this week, so it’s better than expected.

I read an article on fitsugar about a new diet plan that seems to make so much sense.  It’s called the 10% Plan and basically states that the body needs to readjust to weight loss, so they way to lose weight and keep it off is to lose 10% of your body weight at a time, then maintain that weight for 6-months.  Giving your body time to readjust to your current weight and for your metabolism to set accordingly.  Then once you’ve given your body time to get used to being a smaller version of yourself you can lose another 10%, rinse and repeat.  I know that this theory is so anti the American way.  We’re so driven for immediate results, but I like this idea, of course, I’m not a huge fan of dieting, so the idea of a plan that gives me 6-months off is intriguing.  I haven’t read the book yet, but I think I might put it on my amazon wish list.

Okay, back to the nitty-gritty.  Groceries in hand I made a lovely brunch for myself.
